Full Journal pdf1999-02-25 Senate Journal Page 0360 SCR 5 Message dated February 24 was read, stating the House passed SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 5 Authorizing a recess by the Senate and the House of Representatives for a period of more than three days, with the following amendment: 1999-02-25 Senate Journal Page 0361 SCR 5 Page 1, line 1: Delete "a recess" Insert "two recesses" Delete "a period" Insert "periods" Page 1, line 11, following "other": Insert "; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the Senate and the House of Representatives may be in recess during April 2, 3, 4, and 5 of 1999, and that each house concurs in this four-day recess by the other" and so, SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 5 am H Authorizing two recesses by the Senate and the House of Representatives for periods of more than three days, is returned for consideration. Senator Mackie moved that the Senate concur in the House amendment. The question being: Shall the Senate concur in the House amendment? The roll was taken with the following result: SCR 5 am H Shall the Senate Concur in the House Amendment to SCR 5? YEAS: 18 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 2 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Adams, Donley, Ellis, Elton, Green, Hoffman, Kelly Pete, Kelly Tim, Leman, Lincoln, Mackie, Miller, Parnell, Pearce, Phillips, Taylor, Torgerson, Ward Excused: Halford, Wilken Taylor changed from "Nay" to "Yea". and so, the Senate concurred in the House amendment, thus adopting SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 5 am H Authorizing two recesses by the Senate and the House of Representatives for periods of more than three days. 1999-02-25 Senate Journal Page 0362 SCR 5 The Secretary was requested to notify the House. The resolution was referred to the Secretary for enrollment.
